Walnut Hall / David W. Thompson House

David W. and Sara M. Thompson built this five bay Greek Revival house circa 1840 on the northwest corner of the original preemption of his grandfather, David Williams.

The west and north facades are laid in Flemish bond, and a two-story pedimented portico, supported by four Ionic columns, graces the central entrance.

The massive limestone foundation and basement alone took almost a year to build.
