Thomas Denton's Station
Established by Thomas and Sarah Denton as early as 1776 on the waters of Shawnee Run.
The land belonged to Diana Denton, widow of John Denton who had been killed by Indians. Among the first women to settle in Kentucky were the Dentons, McGarys, Hogans, and Boones.
