Maple Grove Cemetery
The cemetery was officially established in 1883 when four acres of land was deeded by David VanArsdale to the Trustees of Harrodsburg. A walk through this hallowed place reveals burials as early as 1866 and provides a view into the history of African Americans in Mercer County. Soldiers from every American war beginning with the Civil War are interred here. This Property is on the African-American History Tour and you can learn more about this cemetery here.
