In honor of Harrodsburg’s 250th birthday celebration the James Harrod Trust will sponsor several re-enactments, presentations and activities throughout the year.

Dr. Charles Welsko from the Kentucky Historical Society will give a presentation of the Kentucky Governors from Harrodsburg, with a special focus on Beriah Magoffin, a Civil War Governor. Also in May will be Harrodsburg’s History Trivia Night at the Vault on Monday, May 13, at 7:00 pm. Come test your knowledge of Harrodsburg History or just join in and learn! It will be a great time!Summer 2024
YES! We are bringing back the Porch Tour on Saturday, June 1! The tour will begin at 10 a.m. on the porch of Aspen Hall at 558 Aspen Hall Manor and will continue until 3 p.m. this is a self-guided tour of porches on historic Beaumont Avenue to share the history of some of the most historic houses in Harrodsburg Kentucky. some homeowners will be available for questions. On August 10, Gwynn Henderson, Education Director, Kentucky Archaeological Survey, Department of Folk Studies and Anthropology, WKU, will give a presentation about Kentucky’s Native American history in Harrodsburg. She will make specific references to archaeological sites here in Mercer County. (Learn More)
